2022 - 2023 SNOW REMOVAL & POST-STORM SERVICES

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Union City, Hudson County, New Jersey for the “2022 – 2023 SNOW REMOVAL AND POST-STORM SERVICES” for all streets, city-wide, and various City parking facilities. Bids will be opened and read in public at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Union City, City Hall, 3715 Palisade Avenue, Union City, New Jersey 07087 on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:15 AM prevailing time.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary and/or required to provide snow plowing, snow removal, snow hauling and snow disposal services for a period between November 1, 2022 to April 15, 2022. Multiple contractors will be utilized by the Union City Department of Public Works (DPW) to ensure coverage of the City of Union City.

Contract Documents for the proposed work, which have been prepared by Ralph J. Tango, Jr., P.E. of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc. dba Maser Consulting, are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier beginning on beginning on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 by making a request to linda.boyer@collierseng.com.

Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail address. The bid proposal packages will not be available for pickup. In the e-mail message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy.  Electronic copies will be provided via e-mail at no charge. Paper copies will be provided after a non-refundable charge of $50.00 payable to Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc. is received as well as the UPS or FedEx account information to defray the cost thereof.

Bids must be made on the Proposal Form, in its’ entirety (print clearly- the requested equipment information) in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed, three (3) copies in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the City of Union City, City Hall, 3715 Palisade Avenue, Union City, New Jersey 07087. Bidders will be notified directly by the Department of Public Works (DPW) of their contract status. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or part, or to make multiple awards and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
