Due to the impending extreme heat, Mayor Brian P. Stack has announced the opening of cooling centers in Union City for residents seeking shelter from the heat and hot weather anticipated for Wednesday, July 26, 2023 through Saturday, July 29, 2023.  We will remain open 24 hours at the following locations.

Cooling centers will be located at the following locations starting on July 26th through July 29th:

• William V. Musto Cultural Center  – 420 15th Street
• Senior Citizens Building - 3700 Palisade Avenue

Residents should avoid prolonged exposure to the heat.  The City is urging the homeless to seek shelter at a cooling center and for residents to check on the elderly and pets.
