Purpose: The City is seeking funding through the State of New Jersey Green Acres and Urban Parks Initiative programs for improvements to Ellsworth Park, located on Palisade Avenue, between 23rd and 24th Streets.
Project Scope: The City of Union City proposes renovations to Ellsworth Park that include drainage upgrades, as well as replacement of the existing pavers, the installation of a new irrigation system, spot landscape improvements, playground fencing, playground resurfacing, site furnishings and a new decorative fountain. A concept plan showing the proposed changes and a preliminary cost estimate can be found at ucnj.com.
Hearing Info: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan at the meeting of the Board of Commissioners at the time and place noted above.
