Public Hearing on Union City Green Acres & Urban Parks Program

Purpose: The City is seeking funding through the State of New Jersey Green Acres program for improvements to Ellsworth Park, located on Palisade Avenue, between 23rd and 24th Streets.
Project Scope: The City of Union City proposes renovations to Ellsworth Park that include drainage upgrades, as well as replacement of the existing pavers, the installation of a new irrigation system, spot landscape improvements, playground fencing, playground resurfacing, site furnishings and a new decorative fountain. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate and the Environmental Impact Assessment can be found at ucnj.com.
