Based upon weather conditions, and as determined by the Owner, construction will be temporarily halted on or about November 8, 2019.  The Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the construction earlier than November 8, 2019.  It is anticipated that construction will resume on or about April 6, 2020, as directed by the Owner, weather permitting.  The overall project duration is 215 calendar days, excluding the period of construction cessation set forth herein.  By submission of a bid, bidders agree, if awarded a contract, that they acknowledge the above schedule, and that they shall have no claim for delays or increased compensation based upon the cessation of work as outlined above, or in the event the Owner stops the work earlier than November 8, 2019 or authorizes the re-commencement of the work after April 6, 2020.

In order to be awarded the contract, the low bidder must be able to substantiate to the Owner’s satisfaction that they have the financial capacity to complete the project, and that the bidder has the workforce, or has a plan in place to hire enough employees or laborers, to be able to commence and complete the project in strict accordance with the above timeline.  Bidders that cannot demonstrate the above to the Owner’s satisfaction will be rejected.
